Valard Construction Utilities Labourer

Valard Construction is hiring a Utilities Labourer in Sherwood Park, AB, dedicated to shallow utilities installation. Collaborate with a skilled team to support outside construction projects in the Edmonton area.

This role, reporting to the Lead Hand, requires expertise in construction tasks such as laying pipelines and operating machinery like skid steers and backhoes. You will work together in a reliable team environment while learning and applying essential skills. Your experience in managing diverse tasks will directly impact the completion of important utility installations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install power, gas, and telecom pipelines in trenches

• Handle materials and set telecom pedestals as needed

• Operate machinery safely under supervision

• Read and interpret construction plans clearly

• Document time and vehicle condition as required

Requirements:

• Team construction experience is preferred

• Valid Class-5 driver's license with a good record

• Personal vehicle for site access

• Capability to lift 50 lbs and endure outdoor conditions

• Must have legal work authorization in Canada
