Signal Assistant at RailWorks

Support essential projects outdoors with Rail Works as a Signal Assistant. Operate equipment, assist with maintenance operations, and thrive in challenging environments.

In this physically demanding role, you will report to the Signal Supervisor and support both project work and maintenance operations. Expect to work with other Signal Maintainers while ensuring compliance with safety practices and signal work procedures. You will perform general labor tasks, maintain tools, and handle special assignments, offering a vital role in outdoor projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general labor tasks and operate necessary equipment

• Maintain tools and equipment in ready-for-service condition

• Complete special duties assigned by supervisors

• Work cooperatively with Signal Maintainers on projects

• Ensure compliance with safe work practices

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of field electrical experience

• Valid driver's G license required

• Experience in project work in a construction environment

• Mechanically inclined for small engine repairs

• Heavy equipment experience is an asset
