Equipment Manager at Miller Waste Systems

Lead equipment maintenance and repair at Miller Waste Systems as our Equipment Manager. This full-time role focuses on safety, team collaboration, and effective equipment operation.

Miller Waste Systems, a premier waste management company with over 60 years of expertise, is seeking a dedicated Equipment Manager for the Ottawa West shop. The ideal candidate will oversee day-to-day equipment operations, track licenses, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety protocols. You will play a vital role in mentoring staff and maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily maintenance and repair of equipment

• Monitor equipment downtime and intervene as necessary

• Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings

• Assist in budgeting and financial reporting

• Review and supervise equipment-related purchases

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years managerial experience

• Valid ‘G’ Driver’s Licence; 310T Truck & Coach preferred

• Knowledge of equipment repair and management software

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to work under minimal supervision
