Equipment Operator

M. Davis Landscape & Design Inc. is seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Equipment Operator to join our team for the upcoming busy season.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has experience operating a Skidsteer in residential and commercial landscape construction projects.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience operating a skid steer
- Experience operating excavators, loaders, and backhoes
- Residential and commercial landscape construction experience required
- Ability to assist labour crews with general site work when equipment operation is not required
- Ability to read and understand utility locates
- Experience with final grading is considered an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines
- Ability to load and unload trucks and equipment
- Must have reliable transportation
Key Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently according to company and industry standards
- Assist foremen and superintendents in completing daily project tasks and objectives
- Conduct daily electronic pre-use equipment inspections using a mobile device
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including greasing and checking fluid levels
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including equipment and cab cleanliness
- Follow all company safety procedures, OHSA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements
- Participate in daily Pre-Job Safety Assessments (PSAs) and weekly toolbox talks
- Properly use PPE, protective devices, and required safety equipment
- Adhere to Canadian Landscape Standards and company quality expectations
