Malace|HR is seeking a versatile and experienced Maintenance Technician with strong skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who can perform a wide range of facility maintenance tasks to ensure the proper operation, safety, and appearance of commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carpentry: Repair and install doors, frames, drywall, cabinetry, and other structural elements

  • Plumbing: Maintain and repair sinks, toilets, water lines, and other plumbing fixtures

  • Electrical: Perform basic electrical troubleshooting and repairs including lighting, outlets, switches, and minor installations

  • Painting: Prepare surfaces, patch holes, and apply interior and exterior paint as needed

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment

  • Complete work orders and preventive maintenance tasks in a timely manner

  • Maintain an organized work environment and manage maintenance tools and supplies

  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and facility personnel regarding repair needs and status updates

  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety codes and company policies

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 2+ years of general maintenance experience, including hands-on work in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting

  • Working knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manuals

  • Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders or in confined spaces as needed

  • HVAC or other trade certifications are a plus, but not required
