This is a full-time, on-site Painters role based in Ottawa, ON. The Painter will prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming walls, ceilings, and other surfaces for interior and exterior projects. Daily tasks include applying paints, coatings, and finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, as well as installing wall coverings when required. The role involves reading and following work orders and specifications, mixing and matching paint colors, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring work areas are kept clean and safe.

Painters will collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently and uphold SP Construction Inc.'s quality standards.

• Candidates should possess strong skills in paint application, including Paint and Painting.
• Candidates should possess skills in decorative work and surface finishes, including Painting and Decorating and Coatings.
• Candidates should possess experience with specialized application methods, including Spray Painting.
• Previous experience as a painter in residential, commercial, or industrial construction settings.
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, materials, and safe handling of paints and related products.
• Ability to read and interpret job specifications, follow site safety procedures, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Physical ability to stand, climb, bend, and lift materials throughout the workday; comfort working on ladders and scaffolding.
• Reliable transportation to job sites in Ottawa and surrounding areas; valid driver's license is an asset.
• Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in painting or construction is an asset.
