We are looking for a full-time Service Technician to assess and repair siding issues at new home construction sites, as well as at occupied homes and managed properties. Working in an ever-changing environment, you will be dispatched to multiple service calls per day. Your hands-on skill and experience, combined with your strong customer-service orientation, will play a vital role in keeping our largest customers happy.

At the same time, your ability to quickly troubleshoot, be self-directed, and communicate well will have a positive impact on KOTT's operational efficiency.

You will be provided with a company clothing package, tools, and Personal Protective Equipment (except for safety shoes, which you provide). Additionally, use of a company service vehicle is available during the course of normal business operations.

The wage range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hour.

  • Diagnose siding, exterior cladding and trim deficiencies, and assess repair work required
  • Document and communicate the scope of work
  • Repair/replace all types of siding; including vinyl, aluminum, Hardie board and metal siding
  • Repair and/or replace soffit and fascia as required
  • Submit service records for timely processing of warranty claims and invoices
What you need to succeed:
  • Must have 5 years' siding experience, including experience with multiple siding types, soffit and fascia
  • Experience operating a metal break, and other tools including a passlode, drills, saws, snips, benders, caulking guns is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and stand for long periods of time is required.
  • Ability to carry, use, and safely tie off ladders of all sizes is required.
  • Working at Heights certification is required.
  • Valid G class license with a clean abstract is required.
  • Fluency in English is required; fluency in French is an asset.
  • Strong focus on safety, and familiarity with all types of Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Experience operating a manlift is considered an asset.
  • Roofing experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret building plans and drawings is an asset.
