Mechanical and Electrical Technician

This position, reporting to the Supervisor of Building Technical Services, focuses on maintenance duties for vital building systems, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. You’ll collaborate with property managers and contractors to implement effective solutions for building maintenance challenges while adhering to Canadian standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct installation and maintenance of building systems

• Address emergency repairs on HVAC and plumbing installations

• Collaborate with stakeholders to troubleshoot technical concerns

• Ensure adherence to building codes and safety practices

• Lead coordination with contractors for system servicing

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary education or approved equivalent

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in building system maintenance

• Familiarity with plumbing and electrical regulations

• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on technical skills

• Resident of the Ottawa area required
