Ottawa University is accepting applications for highly motivated adjuncts to deliver high‑quality instruction in various biological courses to undergraduate students. This role primarily involves preparing and teaching assigned courses, which include developing engaging lectures, leading laboratory sessions, and assessing student performance. The adjunct faculty is expected to maintain regular communication with students, and collaborate with full‑time faculty to ensure curriculum consistency.
Adjunct faculty may be asked to teach Developmental Biology, Human Anatomy, or Principles of Biology depending on qualifications and experience.
- Prepare and teach assigned courses, including developing lectures, leading laboratory sessions, and assessing student performance.
- Maintain regular communication with students.
- Collaborate with full‑time faculty to ensure curriculum consistency.
- Follow University policies and manage confidential information ethically.
- Represent the University in a professional manner.
- Support the mission of Ottawa University and practice inclusivity.
- Earned Doctorate or a master’s degree in a related field, with 18+ graduate credit hours in the discipline being taught.
- Five years of academic and professional teaching experience.
- Experience with Blackboard or other similar online course platforms.
- Experience with Zoom, Skype, or Web Ex.
