is a growing community mental health center with locations in
Franklin and Miami Counties, Kansas.Our mission is simple: to provide comprehensive and integrated behavioral health services for the communities we serve.

This position will assist the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the accounting functions. The Accounting Assistant will help maintain accurate and timely financial records as well as provide operational support when needed. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
MAJORJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare the daily deposit and distribute related information to Billing and Accounting
- Prepare and maintain bank account information; reconcile bank accounts timely and accurately
- Data entry including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain files for audit and state-requirement purposes
- Help process month-end and year-end close processes
- Serve as backup for other positions
- Maintain and formalize accounting policies and procedures
- Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required
- Completes other duties as directed
- Completes all required trainings as assigned
- Complies with all ELC policies and procedures
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma required, post-high school education preferred or equivalent experience
- Must be detail-oriented and precise. Proficient with Excel, Word and ERP software
- Must be able to successfully complete ALL required background checks
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Self-sufficient and independent work ethic but able to work within a team
- Progressively responsible work experience
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and management team
- Ability to be sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences
- Ability to safely perform major job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodations
