We have an opening in the Retail Department at Iowa State Bank!

We are looking for outstanding candidates to apply for the position of Retail Banking Specialist.

The successful Retail Banking Specialist candidate will be responsible for:

• Provide effective, efficient and accurate services, including teller transactions and customer support, to the bank's customers in accordance with the bank's quality service goals as well as promote bank products and services to meet customer needs and provide financial solutions.
• Source, develop and maintain deposit relationships with prospective and existing bank customers in assigned market.
• Promote the bank’s image and its products and services as a “face of the bank” in the community.
• Initiate, develop and conduct community outreach and education programs.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications/skills:

• Ability to negotiate and communicate orally and in writing, as well as solve a wide range of intellectual and practical problems with comprehension of abstract concepts.
• An undergraduate degree in finance, business, accounting or equivalent is preferred. Minimum three (3) years banking experience or its equivalent is required.
• Highly organized and efficient with time management, with ability to maintain high standards of quality and attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and preparing documents.
• Ability to operate office equipment, Excel, Word and other basic computer software.
• Ability to project a warm, friendly manner in all contacts with bank personnel and the public as well as establish and maintain working relationships with fellow employees. This includes a commitment to leading by example within the bank and the retail department.
• Ability to present a neat, businesslike, and professional appearance and maintain a positive presence in communities the bank serves.
• Ability to perform light, physical labor (lifting up to 35 lbs.) with sitting most of the time.
