Full-Time. The Director of Laboratory is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and strategic direction of laboratory services. This role ensures high-quality clinical outcomes, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and effective team leadership within a hospital or reference laboratory environment. The Director will work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, high-stress healthcare setting and is expected to exercise sound judgment and decisive leadership.

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for laboratory services
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
• Oversee laboratory operations, staffing, workflows, and performance outcomes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality
• Collaborate with hospital leadership, physicians, and clinical teams
• Manage budgets, resources, and operational planning
• Lead, mentor, and develop laboratory management and staff

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
• Minimum Education:
  
  BA/BS in Medical Technology or a scientific discipline
• Hospital or reference laboratory experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisive judgments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proven ability to perform effectively in a stressful healthcare environment

• Master's Degree (MBA, MA, or MS in a scientific or related discipline)
• Previous Director-level laboratory leadership experience
