Director of Laboratory

Position Overview

We're hiring a Director of Laboratory to lead laboratory operations and diagnostic services in Ottumwa, Iowa
. This senior leadership role oversees clinical quality, operational performance, and regulatory compliance within a hospital or reference laboratory environment. • Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific discipline

• Minimum education requirement:
  BA or BS in Medical Technology or science‑based field

• Hospital or reference laboratory experience preferred

• Strong critical thinking
  , decisive judgment
  , and ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to function effectively in a high‑stress clinical environment and take appropriate action

• Masters degree (MBA or MA/MS in a scientific discipline)

• Previous experience serving as a Laboratory Director or in a senior laboratory leadership role

• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
