Our client is seeking a Director of Case Management to provide leadership and oversight for case management, discharge planning, and utilization management functions within an acute‑care environment. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports efficient patient throughput, and drives quality outcomes across the continuum of care. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong clinical judgment, operational awareness, and a commitment to patient‑centered care.

Requirements:- Monitor patient flow, care coordination, and resource utilization.
- Manage departmental budgets and support internal/external audits.
- Integrate evidence‑based practices into case management processes.
- Foster a supportive, growth‑oriented environment for case management staff.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, CMS, and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead and manage case management operations, including utilization review and discharge planning.
- Develop departmental goals, policies, and workflows aligned with organizational standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care transitions and reduce avoidable delays.
- Oversee staffing, hiring, onboarding, evaluations, and professional development.
- BLS required.
- Current RN license in Iowa or multistate compact.
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare regulations and compliance.
- Leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree required;
Masters preferred (Nursing, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or related field) - Minimum of two years of Case Management experience in utilization management, case management, discharge planning, or other cost/quality management programs.
