Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery (L&D) position in Ottumwa, IA, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Day shift position with a 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM schedule in an OB/GYN Combined unit,

• Patient ratios are 1:1 for active labor and 3:1 for couplet care,

• Intermediate fetal monitoring and Philips Tracevue equipment used on unit,

• EMR system is Meditech,

• Every other weekend requirement,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• Floating within the hospital to other units required as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active Iowa or compact RN license required,

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and S.T.A.B.L.E.,

• RQI certifications are not accepted,

• Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required; candidates with 1 year of experience will be considered if they have prior travel nursing experience,

• Social Security number required for consideration,

• Date of birth required for consideration,

• Iowa SING background check (criminal and child abuse portions) required to clear prior to start,

• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start - instant or statewide searches are not accepted,

• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required,

• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required,

• Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be within the last 12 months,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible,

• Candidates who are currently employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible,

• COVID vaccination card required,
