Assembly Tech

S2 Manufacturing designs, manufactures, and supplies worldwide a complete line of mobile and stationary ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal and scrap vehicle crushers and balers. S2 also manufactures the Vammas line of large high speed / high-capacity snow removal machines used at major airports. We currently have openings for Assembly Technicians.
This position is on-site at our Ottumwa, IA facility.

Assembles machines and their subassemblies using blueprints and other written and verbal specifications. The Assembly Technician will have the following responsibilities as well as any additional assigned tasks. Including but not limited to

• Assemble machines and subassemblies based on specifications and assembly manuals.
• Installs components, bolts, and screws them together according to specifications.
• Attaches door, panels, other machine guarding, and details machine before shipping.
• Tests or assists in the testing operation of completed machines.
• Responsible for filing out check sheets to verify completed work.
• Work in a safe manner at all times, following all safety guidelines.
