Job DescriptionThe Production Scheduler is responsible for managing all material‑related functions that support daily production operations, including procurement, inventory management, and SAP system transactions. This role ensures material flow accuracy, maintains appropriate stock levels, and upholds documentation standards to drive operational efficiency and compliance. The planner collaborates closely with Planning, Production, and Warehouse teams to enhance inventory accuracy and implement process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage procurement of materials and services from external suppliers and intercompany sources.
- Maintain optimal stock levels through inventory monitoring, cycle counting, and reconciliation processes.
- Execute and troubleshoot SAP transactions related to material movements, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with the General Ledger.
- Provide backup support for production planning and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies across functions.
- Lead root cause analysis for inventory issues and implement corrective actions to support process improvement initiatives.
- Present inventory performance metrics to site and corporate leadership; contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Audit and correct SAP inventory records; investigate and document causes of inventory losses or damaged goods.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, OSHA standards, and food safety requirements.
- Manage inbound stock transport orders (STOs) and reconcile third‑party site inventories under local site responsibility.
- Maintain master data integrity in SAP and support reporting during month‑end close processes.
- Monitor and renew required permits and licenses related to site operations.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with automated warehouse management systems; SAP experience highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably in planning or scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
