Schedule: Full-time (Onsite)
Salary Range: $70,803 - $95,596 + $15,000 Sign-on Bonus
Reports To: Director of Emergency Department
Overview
Ottumwa Regional Health Center is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to acutely ill patients in a fast-paced Emergency Department. The RN will perform triage, patient assessments, emergency interventions, and coordinate care across multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and efficient patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform triage and prioritize patient care needs
- Provide emergency nursing care across all age groups
- Monitor patient condition, administer medications, and perform treatments
- Recognize and respond to cardiac arrhythmias and emergency situations
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure timely care
- Maintain accurate documentation and support patient flow
- Educate patients and families and assist with discharge planning
- Associate Degree in Nursing (minimum)
- Active RN license in Iowa or multistate compact license
- BLS certification
- ACLS and PALS (within 6 months of hire)
- TNCC (within 12 months of hire)
- Iowa Mandatory Reporter - Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certification
- Prior Emergency Department experience
- Medical-Surgical or Critical Care experience
- Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance
