Travel RN - Rehab - In Patient

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Inpatient Rehab RN for a 13-week travel contract in Ottumwa, IA, requiring a valid Iowa or Compact RN license and at least 1 year of acute care experience.

Job Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation unit within a regional health center,

• 13-bed rehab unit serving an adult and geriatric patient population,

• Common diagnoses and treatments include neuro, trauma, burn, gait training/strengthening, and wound vac,

• Patient ratio of 1 RN to 6 patients,

• Lift equipment is used on the unit,

• EMR system is Meditech,

• Day shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM,

• Every other weekend required,

• No on-call responsibilities,

• Floating to Med/Surg as needed,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active Iowa or Compact RN license required,

• BLS certification required (AHA-issued),

• Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required,

• At least 2 years of overall RN experience preferred,

• Med/Surg, LTAC, or inpatient rehab background accepted,

• Social Security number required for consideration,

• Date of birth required for consideration,

• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for this position,

Additional Information

• Candidate must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months,

• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during this assignment,

• Travel experience preferred but not required; first-time travelers will be considered,

• Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required as part of onboarding,

• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required for onboarding,

• Iowa State Investigative Network (SING) background check required - criminal and child abuse portions must clear; no instant or statewide searches accepted,

• All background checks (counties and states) must be fully cleared prior to start,

• Titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) must be within the last 12 months
