about our team

The Intermediate Medical Care team operates on a 4:1 nurse to patient ratio. This unit has 4 beds with a dedicated medical staff. Full and part time employees in this unit rotate every third weekend and major holidays.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment for Angio and Medical Surgery units

  • Documents patient care given.

  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What we're looking fo

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiopulmonary Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of hire.
