Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health Unit

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health nursing and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care to adults aged 18-65. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as required.
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
• Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must have Iowa SING BG clearance (Criminal and Child Abuse portions required).
• All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start; no instant or statewide searches accepted.
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both Child and Adult.
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening, including opiates.
• Current titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB within the last 12 months.
• 2+ years of experience in Behavioral Health Units and Psychiatric care required.
