Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Ottumwa, Iowa

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

• Provide direct patient care in a 17-bed Emergency Department seeing approximately 40 visits per day, primarily adult and geriatric populations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients in accordance with facility protocols and standards of practice
• Utilize Medi Tech EHR to accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
• Maintain call coverage availability to support daily volume and 24/7 coverage requirements
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient outcomes

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Iowa
• Minimum 1–2 years of acute care experience; 2+ years preferred
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current TNCC certification
• Must be able to clear an Iowa State and National Background Check (criminal and child abuse portions) — no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Valid 10-panel drug screen including opiates; titers (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB) from within the last 12 months; and Mandatory Reporter certification (Child and Adult) required prior to start

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Experience in a similarly sized regional or community hospital emergency department
• Familiarity with Medi Tech EHR

• Work in a full-service regional medical center offering a broad scope of services including ED, Critical Care, Med/Surg, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, and more across 217 licensed beds
