Registered Nurse - OB/GYN
Location:
Ottumwa, IA
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with weekend hours every other week.
Job Description:
The Registered Nurse will provide care in the OB/GYN unit, ensuring high-quality medical services to patients in active labor and couplet care settings.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support patients during labor and delivery.
- Manage patient care in the OB/GYN unit, including assessment and intervention.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have a valid nursing license and present certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience with a preference for candidates with travel experience.
- Demonstrated capability to float to other units as needed.
- Candidate must pass Iowa SING background check, including criminal and child abuse checks.
- Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) and a 10-panel drug test, including opiates, are required.
- Recent titers (within the last 12 months) for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB.
