Operating Room Registered Nurse
Location:
Ottumwa, IA
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
Shift: 06:30 - 16:00
Job Description:
The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while utilizing advanced technology and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and provide direct patient care in the operating room setting.
- Assist with C-sections and other surgical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor patient vitals and respond to any complications during surgery.
- Ensure a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS.
- Iowa RN license is mandatory.
- Must have C-section experience;
Robot experience is preferred. - Mandatory reporter certification (Child and Adult) is required.
- Drug test must be a 10 panel screening, including opiates.
- Background checks must be fully completed prior to the start date.
