Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room Specialty

Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The RN will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and support throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room and surgical instruments.
• Administer anesthesia under the supervision of the anesthesiologist (if applicable).
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide support during surgical procedures.
• Provide post-operative care and education to patients and families.
• Document all nursing care and patient interactions accurately in the electronic health record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Must possess a valid RN license and relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS).
• 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
• Experience with C-sections is required; robot experience preferred.
• Mandatory reporter certification for Child and Adult required.
• Complete background checks, drug testing, and titers verification needed.
