- Emergency Dept position at with a 13-week Emergency Room assignment requa health center, requiring an IA or compact RN license and prior acute care and travel experience.

• Emergency Room department within a regional health center with 217 licensed beds
• ,

• atient pop ratio 1:6 with approximately 40 visits per day
• Patient population is mainly adults and geriatrics
• Uses Medi Tech EHR
• Shift schedule is 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Call coverage required to support 24/7 daily volume needs

• Active RN license (IA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience required
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Iowa SING background check required, including criminal and child abuse portions, with no instant or statewide searches accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required for both child and adult
• 10-panel drug screening including opiates required
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

• Provide emergency department nursing care to a primarily adult and geriatric patient population
• Facility offers additional services including Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics and therapeutic radiology, Wound Care, Pain Clinic, Sleep Lab, and Pathology
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the assignment
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
• Located in Ottumwa, IA, known for its river trails and as the Video Game Capital of the World, with a low cost of living
