American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment, requiring an active IA or compact RN license and 1-2 years of L&D/postpartum experience.

• Labor and Delivery unit within a Trauma Level 4 facility
• 6-bed unit caring for adult and infant patients, including labor, postpartum, and female post-operative patients
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Uses GE Centricity fetal monitoring equipment and Meditech EHR
• 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Float as needed to other areas
• On-call is voluntary, not required

• Active RN license (Iowa or Compact) required
• BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN fetal monitoring certifications required
• 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery/postpartum nursing experience required
• Iowa SING background check required, including criminal and child abuse portions, with no exceptions
• All background checks (county and state level) must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• 10-panel drug screening required, including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and TB

• Provide direct patient care for laboring, postpartum, and select post-operative female patients
• Work closely with a collaborative OB/GYN care team
• Scrubs provided by facility
• Monday or Tuesday start dates permitted
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Local candidates within 60 miles may be considered at a reduced local rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time while on assignment
