Starting Salary Range: $16.31-$20.77
Position Summary: This position supports the mission of Johnson County Community College by providing accounting support for Auxiliary Services operations. Responsibilities include billing, accounting and reporting, processing daily sales receipts and deposits, submitting vendor accounts‑payable invoices, and managing accounts‑receivable activities for Dining, Bookstore, and other auxiliary operations in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications- High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
- Associate’s Degree.
- Prepare and reconcile billing for Dining and Bookstore.
- Prepare sales tax documents for Bookstore and Dining.
- Process and maintain Bookstore inventory adjustments, price changes, etc.
- Provide various accounting reports and support, including rental reporting, account reconciliations, vault count/maintenance assistance, financial data/reports, SOP documentation and maintenance.
- Backup support for cash handling and daily financial reconciliation for Bookstore and Dining: count cash drawers and reconcile daily sales with tenders, prepare bank deposits and complete related documentation, maintain the vault rooms, ensure accurate till balances, and clean or rebuild cash drawers.
- Backup support for accounts payable/receivable and vendor management for Bookstore and Dining: process and submit invoices for payment, maintain vendor account balances, support year‑end accrual activities, coordinate vendor inquiries, issue resolution, and account setup with respective staff, assist internal business partners with customer service needs related to accounts payable and receivable.
- Audit and compliance support: provide support during internal and external audits, assist less experienced team members.
- Other duties as assigned.
