Senior Accountant

A growing, multi-entity organization is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its headquarters team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys owning core processes, partnering across departments, and contributing to accurate, timely financial reporting within a collaborative environment.

The Corporate Accountant will manage a variety of general accounting responsibilities and support the day-to-day maintenance of the general ledger. This individual will work closely with the accounting leadership team, follow established internal control procedures, and play a key role in financial reporting and operational support.

• Prepare and post journal entries by compiling and analyzing financial information
• Record recurring monthly entries, accruals, and adjustments
• Maintain and support accounting control procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Review system-generated reports for completeness and consistency
• Track prepaid expenses and complete monthly reconciliations
• Perform bank reconciliations and process deposits accurately and timely
• Review and approve expense reports and invoices within the expense management system
• Assist with accounts payable and payroll preparation
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare documentation for external financial and annual audits
• Support system administration, training and ongoing optimization of the ERP platform
• Maintain compliance filings and registrations as required
• Develop and document standard operating procedures for accounting workflows
• Assist with additional accounting projects and initiatives as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Project accounting experience strongly preferred
• Experience with in engineering, construction, professional services, or similar industries preferred
• Understanding of job cost accounting, project cost tracking, and revenue recognition
• Experience supporting full close cycles
• Strong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting systems
• Experience with ERP systems and expense management platforms preferred
• High attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally
