Accounts Payable Clerk

LHH is assisting with a search for an AP Specialist for Client in Kansas City, MO. This role will be working on-site and contract-to-hire with pay starting at $22/hour and going up based on experience. Our ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of HIGH VOLUME Accounts Payable experience (around 100 invoices processed/day). Read below for additional details!

• Work with vendors, employees, and accounting team throughout the month to ensure 100% of the invoices for the assigned vendors/suppliers are posted by the last day of each month.
• Maintain Accounts Payable electronic document storage files by scanning and indexing invoices within 5 business days of entry into the AP module.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries relating to payment status and provide supporting documentation.
• Contact suppliers for missing invoices.
• Assist with special projects, administration, and reporting as needed.

• HS Diploma-required! Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting-preferred.
• A least 1-2 years of HIGH VOLUME (80-100 invoices/day) accounts payable experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent self-management as well as project management skills.
• Great attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
