Senior Property Accountant

Hiring a Senior Property Accountant in Overland Park, KS for a direct hire onsite position to support a diverse portfolio of commercial properties and serve as a key partner to property management and ownership teams.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages for assigned properties.
• Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and analyze financial transactions to ensure accurate accounting treatment.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, tenant billings, and daily cash management activities.
• Prepare and review common area maintenance (CAM) and real estate tax reconciliations.
• Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, financial analysis, and special projects.
• Partner closely with property managers, ownership groups, and vendors to resolve issues and improve processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including commercial real estate or property accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
• Experience preparing CAM reconciliations, real estate tax reconciliations, and property-level financial statements.
