Job Summary
Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a Financial Analyst III to join their team. This role will support payroll operations by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving process improvements, supporting payroll projects, and partnering with cross‑functional teams to optimize payroll operations.
Core Responsibilities- Manage payroll programs to ensure accurate payroll processing, payments, and reporting.
- Coordinate payroll tax activities, garnishments, and payroll operations while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations.
- Lead and support payroll‑related projects, including coordinating timelines, facilitating meetings, conducting testing, and validating data.
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements, standardization initiatives, and automation opportunities to improve payroll accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with Legal, Accounting, Human Resources, and other internal stakeholders to resolve payroll issues and maintain compliance.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, troubleshoot discrepancies, and recommend solutions.
- Support additional payroll initiatives and projects as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of payroll processing, payroll tax, garnishments, and payroll compliance.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
- Experience analyzing large datasets and making data‑driven recommendations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to perform root‑cause analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- 4+ years of progressive payroll experience.
- Experience working with HR, payroll, reporting applications, and system integrations.
- Project or process management experience.
- Experience driving payroll process improvements or automation initiatives.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
- Experience partnering with cross‑functional teams including Legal, Accounting, and Human Resources.
- Experience supporting enterprise‑level payroll operations.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Collaborative team player with strong stakeholder management abilities.
- Proactive problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Overland Park, KSWork Arrangement:
Hybrid (3 days onsite per week; training may require 100% onsite attendance)
Pay Range:
The approximate pay range for this position is between $30.00 and $40.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
