Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for assisting with the Bank’s financial reporting requirements, including both SEC and regulatory filings. The position is responsible for researching and documenting technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ensuring compliance with Landmark National Bank policies and procedures. The position also performs various month-end procedures, general ledger reconciliations, financial reporting controls and other accounting duties as assigned.

The position will also provide a wide variety of information and/or support to other departments, such as Human Resources, Investor Relations and Administrative staff. The position works in an environment where individuals are trusted to work independently and as part of a productive, successful team.

• Performs accounting duties in accordance with service and performance standards.
• Assists in preparing SEC filings (10-Q and 10-Ks, including iXBRL) and regulatory filings (Call Report, FR Y-9C).
• Researches and documents technical accounting issues to ensure compliance with GAAP, including assisting management in the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory guidance.
• Performs special projects, including managing the project across departments until completion; providing recommendations; working through problem resolution and identifying & implementing improvements.
• Provides support for internal and external audits over financial reporting and related controls as well as regulatory examinations.
• Assists with month‑end close procedures, including preparation of general ledger account reconciliations.
• Reviews and analyzes financial reports by developing summaries and interpretations.
• Provides backup support for others in the accounting department and must be knowledgeable of the controls and processes related to the positions.
• Engages in Landmark National Bank Culture initiatives and team success activities.
• Adheres to bank policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
