Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

We're partnering with a well-established and growing organization in the Kansas City metro area to identify an experienced Controller who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys improving processes, developing teams, and partnering with executive leadership to drive business performance.

• Lead all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Drive process improvements across accounting operations, reporting, reconciliations, and fixed assets.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and strategic financial planning.
• Manage external audits and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
• Support a multi-entity business while providing financial insights that help drive growth and operational excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with increasing leadership responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience leading accounting teams in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
• ERP experience required (Net Suite is a plus).
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Public accounting, retail, or multi-location experience is highly desirable.
