LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively recruiting for an Assistant Controller with a large privately held company in the Overland Park area. The Assistant Controller is a high visibility position within the company and will report to the Director of Finance. This is a great opportunity for someone with public accounting experience to make the move into industry or someone who has had excellent industry accounting experience.
The Assistant Controller will be a financial liaison to the business and will be a strategic partner to leadership.
- Coordination of month end close
- Production of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Forecasting and assisting with budgeting
- Conduct financial and business analysis
- Ad-hoc reporting to management
- Implementation of new accounting standards
- Coordination with internal/external audit teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- CPA preferred, but not required
- 5+ years public accounting experience or strong industry accounting experience
- ERP system experience
- Excellent communication skills and overall business acumen
