About the job:

• General Accounting
• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and supporting schedules.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare supporting documentation for financial statement reporting.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports.

ERP System Administration & Process Improvement

• Utilize and maintain data within the company's ERP accounting system.
• Support process improvements that increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and transaction processing.
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to resolve accounting and operational issues.
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial reporting requests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate accounting environment.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Experience working with ERP accounting systems such as SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis functions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced ERP or financial systems experience.
• Experience with process improvement initiatives and internal controls.

Work Environment

• This position requires regular on-site office presence and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• The role operates in a professional office environment.
• May require occasional additional hours during month-end, quarter-end, year-end close, and audit periods.
