Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) is led by Secretary Janet Stanek and comprises three divisions:
Public Health, Environment, and Health Care Finance (including the State’s Medicaid program, Kan Care). KDHE is the only agency in the nation to house these three entities under one roof, enabling a holistic approach to protecting the health and well‑being of all Kansans.

The position (K0232250) involves processing mail, scanning, quality assurance, and administrative support tasks.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail daily.
- Scan and log documents in the BER Document Tracking Database.
- Proof, edit, format, and print correspondence.
- Prepare envelopes and make copies for distribution.
- Process mass mailings using mail merge.
- Maintain the section’s address database.
- Prepare travel vouchers and purchase orders per policy.
- Perform QA/QC on all scanned documents for accuracy.
- Track and log complete scanned sites into an Excel spreadsheet.
- Review scanned documents for legibility, correct rotation, color usage, size, correct ISL project code, file category, document date, and description.

High School, GED. - Licensing & Certification

Valid driver’s license required for state vehicle use. - Preferred Qualifications
:- Education in office management.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.
- Proofreading, editing, attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Outlook proficiency.
- Experience with Image Now/Perceptive Content system.
- Experience in training new employees.
- Three years in customer service/office support preferred.
- Minimum Qualifications
:- One year of general office, clerical, and administrative support experience.
- Education may substitute for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
