Position: Administrative Assistant, CAV Central
Department: Academic Affairs
Type of Position: Part-time Temporary
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Flexible Monday-Friday and Potentially Saturdays in the semester , 12 hours per week
Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No
Starting Salary Range: $16.68-$21.23 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: Coordinate the activities of the CAV Central study space and ensure a safe and friendly learning environment for students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma

Position details include but are not limited to:

  • Greet students and visitors in person or via phone in a welcoming manner.
  • Answer student and visitor questions accurately and effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments for activities utilizing the CAV Central Space.
  • Complete reports in a timely manner, including scheduled patron counts during shifts and inventories as necessary.
  • Create informational handouts and other materials when needed.
  • Assist students with logging onto the network computers and printing documents.
  • Assist students in a calm manner and seek to diffuse and resolve problems positively or call for other campus assistance if necessary.
