Responsibilities- Supervises, interacts with, and ensures the safety of children at all times.
- Develops and implements age-appropriate curriculum and monthly goals to meet children's developmental needs.
- Communicates effectively with parents, greeting them and discussing their child's day.
- Maintains sanitary conditions in the room and adheres to infection prevention policies.
- Provides responsive care by adapting daily routines to the needs of individual children and the group.
- Works positively and collaboratively with staff to enhance the experience of children and families.
- Meets in-service and continuing education requirements as per department policy. Evaluates and improves the physical environment in the classroom to meet children's changing needs.
- Demonstrates the ability to accept and adjust to change. Is attentive and sensitive to the needs of team members, children, families, and the center.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Teachers must have a clear understanding of the curriculum standards for the age of the children in their classes.
