We are a respected electrical construction contractor in the Kansas City Metro, hiring an Electrical Estimator to support commercial bids, preconstruction pricing, takeoffs, and project cost development. This role is ideal for someone with electrical construction experience who can build accurate, competitive estimates that help win profitable commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities- Build commercial electrical estimates from drawings and project documents
- Perform electrical takeoffs and review bid packages
- Price labor, material, equipment, and electrical scopes
- Gather and qualify vendor, supplier, and subcontractor pricing
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and clarifications
- Support value engineering and budget‑level estimating
- Maintain cost data and estimating records
- Coordinate with project management for awarded project handoff
- Electrical estimating experience in commercial construction
- Electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor background preferred
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and installation methods
- Experience reviewing drawings, specs, and scopes of work
- Familiarity with supplier pricing, bid preparation, and preconstruction
- Trimble Accubid / Accubid experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required with strong electrical estimating experience
