Role Description
The Project Manager role at Interstate Roofing is a full-time, on‑site position based in Overland Park, KS. This role is responsible for overseeing roofing projects from initial inspection through completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and to quality standards. Day‑to‑day tasks include coordinating project schedules, managing materials and logistics, communicating with customers and internal teams, and monitoring job site progress and safety.
The Project Manager will review inspection findings, prepare and track project documentation, and collaborate with expeditors, crews, and suppliers to resolve issues quickly. This position requires consistent on‑site presence at job locations, proactive problem solving, and clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess strong project management skills, including Project Management experience and comfort overseeing multiple simultaneous projects.
- Candidates should possess expediting-related skills, such as experience as an Expeditor and proficiency in Expediting tasks to keep material orders and schedules on track.
- Candidates should possess logistics management skills, including Logistics Management capabilities for coordinating crews, materials, and equipment across job sites.
- Candidates should possess inspection-related skills, including experience with Inspection processes for roofs and exterior structures to support accurate scopes of work.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include excellent communication and customer service abilities, strong organizational and time-management skills, and competency with basic project documentation and software tools.
- Experience in construction or roofing, familiarity with safety standards and local building codes, and the ability to read and interpret estimates and contracts are beneficial.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional education in construction management or related fields, or relevant certifications, is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site, travel between local job sites, and meet physical requirements of inspecting roofs and exteriors as needed.
