Technical Designer II

What You’ll Do

• Create 3D models and detailed drawings using Solid Works
• Assist in translating design intent into fabrication‑ready documentation
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Design, Project Management, and Production
• Learn and apply fabrication methods, materials, and industry standards
• Support project teams in solving technical challenges during design and production
• Contribute to maintaining accuracy, quality, and consistency across deliverables

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience (internships or project work included)
• Technically proficient at an advanced level with Solid Works, including top‑down or in‑context modeling
• Technically proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Illustrator
• Exposure to fabrication methods (wood, metal, plastics, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to read and interpret drawings (architectural or mechanical is a plus)
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Experience with Rhino, Grasshopper, or Adobe Illustrator
• Interest in experiential design, exhibits, or themed environments

• Occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl

• Due to onsite fabrication process, employee may encounter wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and outside weather conditions
