Job Overview
This position is compensated hourly, has a 30‑hour per week minimum requirement, and is eligible for benefits.
Responsibilities- Assist and supervise children in the Kids Club while providing exemplary customer service to parents and staff.
- Use Purpose, Values, and tools (Safe Space, Trust Triangle, Learning Cycle, A+ Curve, Kind vs. Nice, Karpman’s Drama Triangle, BE-do-have) to inspire and coach the team.
- Conduct weekly Zone Inspections and maintain brand cleanliness, safety, and a fun environment.
- Submit work orders for repairs, communicate future needs, and perform a weekly supplies count, making new purchases within budget.
- Provide real‑time verbal and written performance feedback to the Kids Club team.
- Conduct 6‑month and 12‑month Duo Reviews with each team member.
- Engage with all children and team members in a positive, proactive, respectful attitude.
- Interpret and coach on all procedures within the department and ensure staff understand them.
- Support the team with hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff on daily operations, engagement, and program promotion.
- Execute and staff each month’s Parent’s Night Out event and collaborate with mixed‑shift scheduling.
- Organize the team to ensure proper staffing ratios and maintain child check‑in records, waivers, and medical information.
- Maintain desk and paperwork organization, ensuring supplies and forms are available.
- Ensure accurate time‑clock entries for the Kids Club team.
- Maintain uniform standards, coach the team, and encourage a clean, organized space.
- Open and close the Kids Club when coverage is missing.
- Work with the Regional Youth Director to achieve A+ team performance.
- Develop strong relationships with members and team members, creating an on‑brand, enjoyable atmosphere for all.
- Physically fit and mentally alert; capable of standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, and handling.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, and other company software.
- Prepared for and adaptable to inherent physical and mental stress.
- Responsive to communicate and repair any potential unhealthy conditions.
- Primarily indoors; occasional outdoor work may be required.
- Work hours are flexible, including opening, evening, and weekend shifts.
- Age 18+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- First Aid, BPT, and CPR certifications (infant, child, adult).
- Minimum one year of experience understanding child needs and development.
- High level of physical fitness and health.
- Literate in English; basic math skills.
- Strong motivation, enthusiasm, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Leadership experience appropriate to the position.
- Effective organizational skills.
- Flexible to work a varied schedule as required.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
