The Technical Trainer is responsible for delivering classroom and hands‑on technical training for Air Traffic Surveillance Systems, specifically Indra Monopulse Secondary Surveillance Radar (MSSR) and Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR 2D) systems. This position provides instruction on system operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and related technical concepts to customers and internal personnel.

The successful candidate will receive initial product training and complete course documentation from Indra. Existing training materials have been developed and may require modification to meet specific customer requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively train individuals with varying levels of technical experience.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Deliver instructor‑led classroom and practical training on MSSR and PSR 2D systems.
  • Prepare and organize training sessions using approved training documentation and course materials.
  • Modify existing training materials, presentations, and practical exercises to meet customer‑specific requirements when necessary.
  • Conduct hands‑on demonstrations covering radar system operation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Instruct trainees on the proper use of electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Evaluate trainee performance through written assessments, practical exercises, and instructor observation, as required.
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer while adapting instruction to individuals with varying technical backgrounds.
  • Answer technical questions and provide guidance throughout training activities.
  • Maintain accurate training records and provide feedback regarding course effectiveness and recommended improvements.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Field Service, and Program Management teams to ensure training content reflects current product configurations and technical documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) fundamentals.
  • Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment, including:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Signal Generators
    • Spectrum Analyzers
    • Digital Multimeters
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and effective manner.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prepare and manage multiple training sessions.
  • Ability to work independently and interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Equivalent military or technical training will be considered.
  • Previous experience delivering technical training is preferred.
  • Experience with Air Traffic Management (ATM), surveillance systems, radar systems, or RF‑based systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Indra MSSR, PSR 2D, or comparable surveillance radar systems is a plus.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally to customer locations as required.
  • Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background check investigation.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is required for this position.
  • Ability to lift and transport electronic test equipment and training materials up to 30 lbs.
  • Vision sufficiently correctable for reading technical documentation and operating electronic equipment.
  • Speech and hearing sufficiently correctable for classroom instruction, customer interaction, and virtual training activities.
