Catholic 5th Grade Teacher

Job Overview

We are seeking a part‑time 5th Grade Teacher to teach in a classical and Catholic classroom for 13 hours per week near Kansas City in Overland Park, Kansas. Regina Caeli Academy ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition that offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. No teaching certification or formal experience is required;

we will provide all necessary training.

• Teach a 13‑hour week on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.
• Prepare for classes at home and arrive ready to teach in a highly structured environment.
• Attend three mandatory training days on August 12‑14, 2026 (8 am‑5 pm); no childcare is provided during training, but nursing infants are welcome.

• Ability to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and demonstrate a deep love for the Catholic faith.
• Strong communication skills, good organization, and timeliness.
• Traditional view of the student–teacher relationship and active living of the Catholic faith day‑to‑day.
• Received all sacraments appropriate to current state in life.
• Experience homeschooling, working with homeschool children, ministry in a Catholic parish, teaching Religious Education or Catechism, teaching your own children, or teaching in a classical or private school (although not required).

• Hourly positions with childcare/nursery provided.
• No additional vacation days are given; accommodations are made for sick days as needed.
• All staff complete a background check and RCA Safe Child training prior to teaching at Regina Caeli Academy.
• All employees are required to have a clear background check.
