DescriptionSocial Work p.r.n. has an immediate opportunity for BSWs interested in working with pre-school age children as a Classroom Support for early education programs in KCMO on a temporary, part-time or full-time basis until the end of the fall semester. Ideal hours are Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with some flexibility with scheduling.
Work responsibilities include:- One on One direct support for 1 or 2 children with diagnosed disabilities needing support while in classrooms/programs.
- Consultation with mental health consultants and participation in ongoing revisions of behavior modification plans.
- Communication with teaching staff and other program staff about the intervention plan to provide updates and feedback.
- Participation in individualized family conferences, as needed.
Candidates must have a bachelors degree from an accredited school of social work and experience working with pre-adolescent age children.
