Lecturer for undergraduate nursing students, main campus

The lecturer''s responsibilities include developing course material and curricula, inspiring meaningful discussions, attending conferences, consulting with other academics and professionals, supervising graduate students, grading assignments, and being an active member of the university.

A Nurse Clinical lecturer, also known as an adjunct clinical instructor, oversees nursing students in clinical environments like hospitals, clinics, or community health centers. Their duties include guiding students in translating classroom theory into practical patient care and ensuring safe, evidence-based practices. Clinical lecturers utilize assessment and evaluation methods, assign grades, and help develop course materials. This role is carried out in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the Kansas State Board of Nursing and relevant accrediting bodies.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Hold an active, current, unencumbered license to practice in Kansas

Dependent upon department requirements.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, must have valid license

Teaching in nursing education

Ability to remain in a stationary position. Frequent 60-90%

Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment including but not limited to phone, printers, copiers, and calculators. Frequent 60-90%

Ability to communicate with others and accurately exchange information. Frequent 60-90%
