Special Education Teacher | Overland Park, Kansas

Youll be responsible for guiding students on their academic journey, collaborating with colleagues, and crafting inclusive lesson plans that cater to individual strengths and needs. Caseload specifics will be discussed during your interview to ensure the best match for your skills and interests.

• Valid Low Incidence SPED license applicable to grades 612
• Experience or genuine interest in working with students who have significant support needs
• Ability to create differentiated Instructional Plans
• Comfortable with collaboration as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
• Organizational expertise and a positive, adaptable approach

• Provide individualized instruction based on student IEPs
• Adapt curriculum to address a broad range of learning styles and abilities
• Monitor and assess student progress, making data-driven instructional decisions
• Work closely with classroom staff and other service providers
• Maintain accurate student records and documentation in compliance with educational requirements
• Offer supportive communication and outreach to parents and guardians
