Job Title: Staff Engineering Technician
Location: Overland Park, Kansas (OnSite)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to strengthen our team’s substation drafting and design capabilities. Our team is focused on delivering high-quality electrical design solutions and supporting continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities- Utilize AutoCAD Electrical in conjunction with Substation Design Suite to create and modify project deliverables.
- Apply knowledge of standards, document control processes, and applicable codes to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Coordinate design inputs and project deliverables with other groups to minimize errors and optimize workflow.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other engineering professionals, contributing to knowledge sharing and innovation.
- At least 3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD Electrical with Substation Design Suite specifically within the substation industry.
- Proven ability to support drafting and design independently on substation projects.
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor and SDS in a substation environment is required.
- Diploma, certificate, or associate degree in drafting, engineering design, or a related technology field preferred.
