Job Title:
Quality Engineering and Inspection Team Lead
Join an established Quality Engineering and Inspection team to improve product and process quality through continuous improvements in coordination with other departments. You will ensure product and process compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001/AS 9100, customer requirements, government regulations, and product specifications.
Responsibilities- Serve as the Management Representative for the certified Quality Management System.
- Lead the maintenance and development of policies and procedures.
- Contribute to proposal developments for new opportunities to ensure customer requirements are understood and achievable.
- Provide direct support to various teams such as Sales, Marketing, Engineering, from a Quality and Inspection standpoint.
- Lead the supplier qualification and performance monitoring process to ensure supplier conformance to quality standards.
- Work cross-departmentally to drive the design and development of products & services, ensuring conformity of outputs to established guidelines.
- Travel (limited to 10%) may be required to customers, suppliers, and other company locations worldwide.
- Quality engineering expertise.
- Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to successfully collaborate across departments.
- Capacity to compose organized, professional communications and materials for supervisory review or presentation.
- Experience with industry standards such as AS9100D, US FAA, DoD, or other governmental regulatory agencies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
- Eight (8) or more years of durable goods manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Radio Frequency Electronics is desired.
- Familiarity with Ground-Based Navigation and Landing Systems is helpful.
The work environment is collaborative and requires interaction with various departments including Sales, Marketing, and Engineering. The role involves occasional travel to customers, suppliers, and other company locations worldwide. The position requires the ability to lift and operate computing resources, and it involves tasks that require dexterity and correctable vision and hearing for effective communication and operation.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Overland Park, KS.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $63.00/hr.
